Holy Mary’s School Society registered as a society under the Society Act of 1860, took on 28 July 2000. Holy Mary’s School is a Christian Minority Institution established by HOLY MARY’S SOCIETY REGD. in the year 1999.

The No Objection Certificate acts as a layer of quality check of the C.B.S.E. Board. The Holy Mary’s Society achieved another milestone, when it got N.O.C. from Government of Punjab, on 7th April 2006. HMS crafted the path to success with this achievement, and was all ready to receive the C.B.S.E affiliation.

The school added another golden feather to its crown when it got affiliation from the C.B.S.E, New Delhi (Affiliation No. 1630423 on 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2010 and extension of provisional affiliation of the school received on 30.04.2010 from the C.B.S.E., for its secondary examination upto the 31 march 2015.

Chronicle

The seed of HOLY MARY’S SCHOOL was planted in the soil of Banur on 2nd February 1999. Sincere zeal to impart genuine education to the children of Banur and its adjoining villages instigated the commencing of this institution.

With the blessings from the almighty, the inauguration took on 2 February 1999, by S. Jagjit Singh, President of Municipal Committee, Banur. The inauguration ceremony was blessed by Rev. Fr. Premanand, who was the Parish Priest of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Rajpura and Rev. Fr. Joy, who was, the Director of Don Bosco, Rural Development Institute, Kauli, in the presence of Ms. Anny Devassy, Co-founder V.Chairman of the school.

The inauguration could not have been efficacious without the goodwill, kind support, and patronage from certain people like, Late Squadron Leader (Retired) Sardar Sukhdev Singh, his son Mr. Barinder Sandhu and Master Reghuvir Singh. In the memory of Late Squadron Leader (Retired) Sardar Sukhdev Singh, Holy Mary’s School Management has started a Sardar Sukhdev Singh Memorial Scholarship from 2013-2014, to be presented to the topper of Class Xth CBSE exam.
